Burst Shooting

Shoots at the continuous shooting interval set in the still image shooting interval [FPS]. Useful when you want to save each action as still images.

STEP1. Set Photo Mode to Burst Shooting.

Use the following method to set modes.

[Setting Method]

  • FDR-X1000V, HDR-AS100V, HDR-AS200V

Set to [SETUP] - [DRIVE] - [BURST].

  • FDR-X3000, HDR-AS300, HDR-AS50
    1. Press the MENU button.
    2. Set to *1 (Shooting Mode) - (Photo mode).
    3. Press the MENU button.
    4. Set to (still image shooting setting) - *2(Still image mode switching) - (Burst Shooting).
      *1 The icon of the current selected Shooting Mode is displayed.
      *2 The icon of the current selected Still image mode switching is displayed.
  • HDR-AZ1VR
    1. Connect the camera and remote (RM-LVR2V) via Wi-Fi, press the UP or DOWN button of the remote and set Shooting mode settings to Photo Mode.
    2. Press the MENU button of the remote, set to (Still image settings) - (Burst Shooting.)
  • HDR-AZ1
    1. Connect a smartphone running the smartphone app, PlayMemories Mobile, to a camera via Wi-Fi, and set Shooting mode settings to Photo Mode.
    2. Set to PlayMemories Mobile (various settings) - [Cont. Shooting Settings] - [Burst Shooting].

STEP2.Set the still image shooting interval.

You can select the continuous shooting setting for using Burst Shooting.

Still image shooting interval
  • 10f1s :
    Shoots 10 still images in one second. (Suitable for shooting fast-moving objects)
  • 8fps 1s :
    Totally records 10 photos at a speed of 8 photos per second in 1.25 seconds(Suitable for shooting fast-moving objects)
  • 5f2s / 5fps 2s :
    Shoots 10 still images in 2 seconds. (Suitable for action shots of objects)
  • 2f5s / 2fps 5s :
    Shoots 10 still images in 5 seconds. (Suitable for shooting slow-moving objects)

[Setting Method]

  • FDR-X1000V, HDR-AS100V, HDR-AS200V

[SETUP] - [FPS] - select the shooting interval from [10f1s] / [5f2s] / [2f5s].

  • FDR-X3000, HDR-AS300
    1. Press the MENU button.
    2. (still image shooting setting) - * (Still image shooting interval) - select the shooting interval from [10f1s] / [5f2s] / [2f5s].
      * The icon of the current selected Still image shooting interval is displayed.
  • HDR-AS50
    1. Press the MENU button.
    2. (still image shooting setting) - * (Still image shooting interval) - select the shooting interval from [8f1s] / [5f2s] / [2f5s].
      * The icon of the current selected Still image shooting interval is displayed.
  • HDR-AZ1VR

From the Photo Mode status, press the MENU button of the remote - (Still image settings) - [XXfps Xs] - select the shooting interval from [8fps 1s] / [5fps 2s] / [2fps 5s].

  • HDR-AZ1

PlayMemories Mobile (various settings) - [Continuous Shooting Speed] - select the shooting interval from [8fps 1sec] / [5fps 2sec] / [2fps 5sec].

STEP3.Shoot

Shoot pressing the REC button.

Tips : To shoot successfully in Burst Shooting mode
Try the following shooting methods.
  • Stabilize the camera to prevent camera shake.
  • Use the remote control function with a smartphone or Live-View Remote, or the self-timer function to prevent camera shake for better results.
