LA-EA5
- Autofocus cannot be used.
- Available with a Mount Adaptor.
- The Background Defocus Control is not supported.
- The aperture is fixed during the movie recording. With the camera firmware Ver.03 or later, the aperture can be selected before recording when recording movies in the A (Aperture priority) mode.
- The SteadyShot is not supported.
- If you attach the [A-mount lens] using the Mount Adaptor, MF assist function does not work automatically when you turn the focus ring. You can enlarge the image by selecting [Focus Magnifier] function or [MF Assist] function to any key in the "Custom Key Settings".
LA-EA4
- Available with a Mount Adaptor.
- The Background Defocus Control is not supported.
- The SteadyShot is not supported.
- When you record movies with autofocus, the operating noise of the lens may be recorded.
- It is available with the camera firmware Ver.05 or later.
- If you use AF (Autofocus), the aperture will be fixed to F3.5, or the largest aperture if the lens' largest aperture is smaller than F3.5, during the movie recording. If you use MF (Manual focus), the aperture can be selected before recording when recording movies in the A (Aperture priority) mode.
- The [Smile Shutter] and [Face Detection] functions do not work.
- NEX-5, 3 and C3 with LA-EA4 are only available when AF area is wide.
