With PMB, you can detect a specific person’s face from videos and still images imported to your computer and search for images having faces similar to the selected face. You can also filter images by smiling faces, people’s faces and landscape sceneries. These operations are applied to both still images and videos.

* Animated GIF files recorded with the Clip Motion function are not supported.

The screen design may be different depending on the version of your PMB.

Select the face you want to search for on Folders view or Calendar view. You can select multiple images at the same time. Blue frames appear on the thumbnails you selected. The detected face images are displayed in the face search area at the bottom of the window.

* Analysis of videos and still images is necessary to detect faces. By selecting [Tools] - [Analyze All Content], all videos and still images ,which were saved on a computer and have not yet been analyzed, can be analyzed automatically. The analysis may take some time.   * By right-clicking on the thumbnail you want to analyze and clicking [Analyze Media Files Again], you can also analyze each video and still image.

By selecting the face image displayed in the face search area at the bottom of the window, the orange frame appears on the selected face in the main window and detecting videos and still images having similar faces will start. (If you select the face image included in a video, the thumbnail in the main window switches to the frame in which the selected face is recorded, then detecting videos and still images having similar faces will start.)

By double-clicking the face image in the face search area, only the images having the faces similar to the selected face are displayed in the main window.

Click [Clear] to stop filtering by similar faces.

Images including landscape sceneries are filtered. Images including people’s faces are filtered. Images including smiling faces are filtered.

* These operations may not work properly depending on the scenes or subjects’ expressions.
