GPS Image Tracker Ver.2.1 Help
What you can do with GPS Image Tracker
GPS Image Tracker is a program which imports the “GPS log” (records of continuous position information) recorded on your GPS Unit to your computer and applies the position information to the still images or movies (hereinafter called images) taken with your digital still camera or Sony Digital Camcorder.
Once you apply position information to an image with this program, you can view the image on the map using the supplied PMB. That way, you can easily check where the images were taken or the route traveled when shooting.
In addition, you can also do the following with this program.
  • Display a list of file names and shooting date/time for the imported images
  • Display a list of imported GPS logs, and manage them by editing their title
What is “GPS log”?
GPS log is information on the travel route such as latitude, longitude or time received from GPS satellites and recorded on your GPS Unit.
Mechanism of applying position information to images
This program matches the date and time information of the GPS log to the date and time information of images, and then applies to the image the position information of the GPS log agreeing with the date and time information.
Note
The time recorded on your GPS Unit is based on the Greenwich Mean Time. When you import GPS logs to your computer, you can change their time information (time zones or daylight saving time). For more information, refer to “Adjusting time difference/daylight saving time.”
