Account and Registration

How do I create an account?

In the initial launch of Personal Space, you can create an account by clicking on “Create New Account”. After doing so, please fill in the required information and your account will be successfully created.

How do I log in?

In the initial launch of Personal Space, you can login using your existing account by clicking on “Use Existing Account…”. After doing so, enter your email address and password to log into you account.

Can I switch accounts?

Yes you can. You can switch by clicking the “Settings” option under the “More” menu. Select “Logout Account”. You will then be able to log onto a different account.

Groups

What is a Sharing Group?

Sharing Groups are a collection of friends or family you want to share content with. You can upload new content to a Sharing Group and members of that group will automatically have access to it. You can add or remove family and friends to your sharing groups anytime. When you add a new friend they will receive an email with links to the content online.

What is a Mail Share?

Mail Shares are for ‘one-time’ sharing. When you share photos or videos with friends using a mail share they will get an email containing links to the content online. After you’ve sent a Mail Share you cannot add or remove content or add new friends.

How do I view a Sharing Group?

In the Groups section, the Sharing Groups that you are involved in will appear on your screen. You can view the photos and videos of a Group by simply selecting one.

How do I view the history of photos and videos that I have sent out?

You can view your history by clicking on “Sent History” which can be found under the “More” menu.

Why do some groups displayed have an envelope next to it?

The envelope icon indicates that that group is a mail share.

How do I delete a Sharing Group?

From the Sharing Groups list, press and hold the group you want to delete. A menu will appear with a ‘Delete Sharing Group’ option.

Pending

What is shown in the Pending section?

The Pending section will show all of the photos and videos that are pending for upload/download.

How do I change my avatar?

The avatar can be changed by clicking on “More” on the menu up top. After doing so, please click on Change Avatar.

Where do I find my version number?

The version number will be found by clicking on “About Personal Space” in the “More” menu of Personal Space.

How do I search?

Click on the Magnifying Glass icon on the top right. This will bring up the search screen with the keyboard. Please type in your search query into the search input box and click ‘Search’ to view the results.

Can I upload to Personal Space?

Currently only Sony Ericsson phones have the upload functionality.
