When updating your product, you will need to run "DriverLoader_1015" provided on this web page along with the System Software.

Note

  • Close all other application software before running the update.
  • Prevent your computer from going into Sleep mode.

Update procedure

1.

Download the System Software Updater

Download the System Software Updater from the support web page.
We recommend saving the downloaded file to the desktop of your computer.

2.

Download "DriverLoader_1015"

Note

  • Do not connect the camera and the computer yet. If they are already connected, disconnect them for now.

Download "DriverLoader_1015" from the link below.
We recommend saving the downloaded file to the desktop of your computer.

Launch "DriverLoader_1015"

Note

  • Do not connect the camera and the computer yet. If they are already connected, disconnect them for now.
  1. Once downloaded, unzip "DL1101_1910a.zip" to display the folder "DL1101_1910a."

    Inside the "DL1101_1910a" folder is the "DriverLoader_1015" icon.
  2. Double-click the dmg file for the System Software that you have downloaded.
    The System Software folder will be displayed.

    Inside the System Software folder is the "Resources" folder.


    * Depending on the System Software, the System Software Updater icon may be displayed instead of the "Resources" folder.
  3. Drag and drop the Updater icon inside the "Resources" folder to the "DriverLoader_1015" icon inside the "DL1101_1910a" folder.
    "DriverLoader_1015" will launch.
    • If the following message is displayed, close it using the [Open] button.

  4. Since a kernel extension must be loaded, the message prompts you to allow the application to make changes.
    Type the password for the administrative account.
  5. Messages from the system will appear along with the "Security & Privacy" screen.
    • If the following message appears before "Security & Privacy" is displayed, click the [OK] button.
      The "Security & Privacy" screen will open.
    • Open the "General" tab under "Security & Privacy," click on the key icon, and then click the [Allow] button to allow the "Sony Imaging Products & Solutions Inc." system software to be loaded on to your computer.
    • If you have approved this in the past, the "Security & Privacy" screen will not be displayed.
      Move on to Steps 3-6, and continue from there.
    • If you are asked to restart macOS after clicking the [Allow] button, please perform a restart.
      After your computer has restarted, repeat Step 3. Launch "DriverLoader_1015".
    • If the "Security & Privacy" screen does not disappear, please close the window.
    • Click the [OK] button to close both of the messages that appear with the "Security & Privacy" screen.


  6. A dialog box prompting a USB connection will be displayed.

    Note

    • If the USB cable was connected before the dialog box prompting a USB connection appears, disconnect the USB cable, click the [Cancel] button in the "DriverLoader_1015" screen, and close the application.
      After your computer has restarted, repeat Step 3. Launch "DriverLoader_1015".
    • Perform the following procedure with the memory card removed from the camera.
    • Connect the camera to the computer using the USB cable (supplied). Then, click the [OK] button.

    • If the following message is displayed, close it using the [OK] button.
    • If the following message is displayed, close it using the [Open] button.

    Note

    • Do not turn off the camera or disconnect the USB cable until the update is finished.
  7. The System Software Updater will launch.

    If the System Software Updater does not launch

Perform the update by following the messages in the System Software Updater. Please refer to the update procedure described on the previous page as well.
