FDR-X3000 : Remote shooting

  • Connecting by QR Code
    1. On the camera : Select MENU →  →  → .
    2. On the camera : Select the shooting mode ( ⁄  ⁄  ⁄  ).
    3. On the smartphone : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your smartphone and proceed as follows.

      When Imaging Edge Mobile has been newly installed

      [Models other than the above] → [Camera Connection/Registration]

      When adding a second (or subsequent) camera to a previously installed instance of Imaging Edge Mobile

      [Camera Connection/Registration] → [Register other models]

    4. On the smartphone : Select [Scan QR Code], then scan the QR Code displayed on the camera with your smartphone.

  • Connecting by Wi-Fi Using an SSID and Password
    1. On the camera : Select MENU →  →  → .
    2. On the camera : Select the shooting mode ( ⁄  ⁄  ⁄  ).
    3. On the smartphone : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your smartphone and proceed as follows.

      When Imaging Edge Mobile has been newly installed

      [Models other than the above] → [Camera Connection/Registration]

      When adding a second (or subsequent) camera to a previously installed instance of Imaging Edge Mobile

      [Camera Connection/Registration] → [Register other models]

    4. On the smartphone : Select [Connect using the camera SSID/password] → [Enter SSID/Password], then enter the SSID (DIRECT-xxxx: xxxx) and password displayed on the camera.

  • Connecting by Wi-Fi Using NFC

    This connection method is only available for NFC-compatible Android devices and for the iPhone 7 and later models.

    1. On the camera : Select MENU →  →  → .
    2. On the camera : Select the shooting mode ( ⁄  ⁄  ⁄  ).
    3. On the smartphone : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your smartphone and proceed as follows.

      When Imaging Edge Mobile has been newly installed

      [Models other than the above] → [Camera Connection/Registration]

      When adding a second (or subsequent) camera to a previously installed instance of Imaging Edge Mobile

      [Camera Connection/Registration] → [Register other models]

    4. On the smartphone : Select [Connect with the camera through One-touch (NFC)] → [Tap here].
    5. On the camera : Switch the camera to the shooting mode and display the [N] mark on the monitor. Then, touch the smartphone to the camera.

  • Bluetooth

    The camera can be powered on and off from a smartphone by connecting the camera and the smartphone via Bluetooth.

    1. On the camera : Select MENU →  →  → .
    2. On the camera : Select MENU →  →  → .
    3. Connect the camera and the smartphone using Wi-Fi (first time only).
    4. On the smartphone : Select [Camera Remote Power ON/OFF] from the Imaging Edge Mobile menu.
    5. On the smartphone : When a message prompting you to allow the pairing appears on the screen, allow it (first time only).
    6. On the camera : Press the REC/ENTER button on the camera to complete the pairing (first time only).
  • Multi Camera Control

    You can connect up to 5 cameras simultaneously to perform shooting.
    You must use a smartphone equipped with a tethering function.

  • If the camera and the smartphone are already connected

    If the camera and the smartphone are already connected via Wi-Fi before you launch Imaging Edge Mobile, the camera name will be displayed in the [Camera List]. Tap [Start] to the right of the camera name.
