HDR-AS50 : Connect your smartphone to your camera

For Android smartphones

  • Connecting by QR Code
    1. : Select MENU →  →  → .
    2. : Select the shooting mode ( ⁄  ⁄  ⁄  ).
    3. : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on the smartphone.
    4. :

      When connecting with a new camera

      Select [Connect with a new camera] → [Scan QR Code], then scan the QR code on the back of the camera's battery cover with your smartphone.

      With a camera that has been connected previously

      Select the camera name, which will be displayed in the [Camera List].

  • Connecting by Wi-Fi Using an SSID and Password
    1. : Select MENU →  →  → .
    2. : Select the shooting mode ( ⁄  ⁄  ⁄  ).
    3. : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on the smartphone.
    4. :

      When connecting with a new camera

      Select [Connect with a new camera] → [Connect using the camera SSID/password] → [Enter SSID/Password], then enter the SSID (DIRECT-xxxx: xxxx) and password on the back of the camera's battery cover.

      With a camera that has been connected previously

      Select the camera name, which will be displayed in the [Camera List].

  • Bluetooth

    The camera can be powered on and off from a smartphone by connecting the camera and the smartphone via Bluetooth.

    1. : Select MENU →  →  → .
    2. : Select MENU →  →  → .
    3. Connect the camera and the smartphone using Wi-Fi (first time only).
    4. : Select [Camera Remote Power ON/OFF] from the Imaging Edge Mobile menu.
    5. : When a message prompting you to allow the pairing appears on the screen, allow it (first time only).
    6. : Press the REC/ENTER button on the camera to complete the pairing (first time only).
  • Multi Camera Control

    You can connect up to 5 cameras simultaneously to perform shooting.
    You must use a smartphone equipped with a tethering function.

  • Connecting by QR Code

    2. : Select the shooting mode ( ⁄  ⁄  ⁄  ).
    3. : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on the smartphone.
