* You cannot use Imaging Edge Mobile on a camera running system software Ver. 2.00 or later. Use Creators’ App instead.

  • 1. Registering the camera using pairing (first time only)

    If you use pairing to register the camera with Imaging Edge Mobile beforehand, the camera will subsequently connect automatically each time you start Imaging Edge Mobile. The pairing function uses Bluetooth.
    • Once the camera has been registered, the procedure described below in “How to connect without registering” is not necessary.

    1. On the camera : On the camera MENU, select (Network) → [Smartphone Connect] → [Smartphone Regist.].
    2. On the camera : Follow the instructions on the screen to set [Bluetooth Function] → [On].
    3. On the smartphone : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your smartphone.
    4. On the smartphone : Select the camera, then select [Camera Connection/Registration].

      The screen will differ if you previously used another camera with Imaging Edge Mobile. Select [Camera Connection/Registration] and then select the camera.

    5. On the smartphone : Select [Pairing] next to the camera name and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the pairing process.
    6. On the camera : On the camera’s Bluetooth connection confirmation screen, select [OK].

      The camera is registered on your smartphone.

  • How to connect without registering

    You can connect the camera to your smartphone using Wi-Fi only and without registering the camera on your smartphone. In this case, you will need to perform the connection procedure every time.

    1. On the camera : On the camera MENU, select (Network) → [Smartphone Connect] → [Smartphone Regist.].
    2. On the camera : Press the (delete) button on the camera to display the SSID and password.
    3. On the smartphone : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your smartphone.
    4. On the smartphone : Select the camera, then select [Camera Connection/Registration] → [Connect without registering.].

      The screen will differ if you previously used another camera with Imaging Edge Mobile. Select [Camera Connection/Registration] and then select the camera. Next, select [Connect without registering.].

    5. On the smartphone : Follow the instructions on the screen. Finally, select [Display [Settings].] to display the Wi-Fi settings screen on your smartphone.
    6. On the smartphone : Select the SSID displayed on the camera and enter the password.
  • 2. Send images

    You can transfer images shot on the camera to your smartphone.

    Using camera operations

    1. On the camera : Press the (play) button on the camera to activate playback mode.
    2. On the camera : Press the (Send) button.

      If you cannot use the Send button because of custom key settings or if you want to change the format, etc., of the images to be sent, select MENU → (Network) → [Smartphone Connect] → [ Select on Cam & Send] and perform the necessary operations.

    3. On the camera : Select the images you want to transfer.
    4. On the smartphone : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your smartphone.
    5. On the smartphone : When the [Starts importing images.] message appears, tap [OK].

      A Wi-Fi connection between the camera and smartphone is established via Bluetooth, and transferred images are displayed on the Imaging Edge Mobile screen.

    Using smartphone operations

    You must turn on the camera beforehand.*

    1. On the smartphone : Launch Imaging Edge Mobile on your smartphone.
    2. On the smartphone : Select [View and Import].

      A Wi-Fi connection between the camera and smartphone is established via Bluetooth, and images shot on the camera are displayed on the Imaging Edge Mobile screen.

    3. On the smartphone : Select the images you wish to transfer and tap (transfer) at the bottom of the screen to transfer them.

    * On the camera MENU, select (Network) → [Smartphone Connect] and set [Cnct. while Power OFF] to [On]. Now the camera will turn on automatically when you select [View and Import].
