Tips for MacOS High Sierra
If the Kernel Extension is not allowed after installing PlayMemories Home, PlayMemories Home will fail to authenticate the device. If device authentication fails, importing and playback of videos may not be possible.
After Installing PlayMemories Home, please follow the steps below to allow the Kernel Extension.
<How to Allow the Kernel Extension>
1. From System Preferences, open Security & Privacy.
2. Press the Allow button for Sony Corporation's system software on the Security & Privacy window.
If the Allow button is not displayed in step 2 above, install PlayMemories Home from scratch and perform the step to allow the Kernel Extension. If the Allow button is not displayed even after reinstalling, the Kernel Extension has already been allowed, and you do not need to allow it again.
