How to use PlayMemories Studio™

Images stored on PlayMemories Online™ are displayed in Timeline view.
You can list and play images in chronological order.

Certain functions may not be available in some countries/regions.

• Thumbnail list
  

  Images saved in PlayMemories Online™ are displayed as a thumbnail list. Press to move the cursor.

  This icon is displayed for 3D images in the thumbnail area. Images can be viewed in 3D on a 3D-compatible TV.

  ^*The icon is displayed for images in MP4 SBS format, images in 3D/MVC format taken with a Sony digital camera or video camera, movies, and still images in MPO formats.
  ^*The icon is not displayed for images taken in AVCHD SBS format.
  ^*Movies played back from PlayMemories Online™ may be displayed in a lower resolution and can not be displayed in 3D.

  This icon is displayed for movies in the thumbnail area.

  Items without either of the above icons are 2D photos.

  It may take a while for the thumbnails of uploaded images to be displayed.

• Day
  This shows the day the image was taken.
• Month
  This shows the month the image was taken.
• Year
  This shows the year the image was taken.
• Select location
  You can use thebutton to select the image category to play.
  

  Library
  You can play all images in PlayMemories Online™.

  Albums
  You can play images in a selected album.
  

  To create a new album, first select images from your Library. Then press thebutton to open the Sub menu and select [Add to Album] > [New Album].

  Friends
  You can play images that friends have shared with you.

  Postcards
  You can play Postcards created in PlayMemories Online™, which can then be sent or received.

  Postcards cannot be downloaded to a storage device.

  Postcards cannot be created or sent via PlayMemories Studio™.

  Photo book
  You can play Photo books created in PlayMemories Online™.

  A Photo Book cannot be downloaded to a storage device.

• Change view
  

  Press the button to change between the three views.

  Only Timeline view is available for PlayMemories Online™ images.

• Help message
  A description is displayed for the item currently selected by the cursor.
• Operating help
  The main button operations that can be used on the currently displayed screen are displayed.
  • Play
    Press thebutton to play only the image currently selected by the cursor. Press thebutton to play the images in a slideshow. (More details)
  • Main Menu
    Press the button to return to the Main Menu.
  • Sub Menu
    

    Press thebutton to display the icon list for functions that can be used on this screen.

    Add to Album (Library only) (More details)

    Download images to the PS3™ Internal HDD or USB storage device.

    Deselect images that have been selected.

    Edit details (Album only) (More details)

    View details (Friends only) (More details)

    Delete images.

    Delete Album (Album/Friends only)

    Delete Postcard (Postcards only)

  • Select
    Press thebutton to select multiple images. Items can be deselected in the Sub Menu.
