Thank you for your continued interest in Sony products. Sony is offering a firmware update and the latest "α(alpha) application software" to owners of "α700" DSLR-A700 series. Please follow the download procedure carefully to avoid any problems which may occur during the firmware update.

Firmware update

[Applicable model] α700 zoom lens kit (DSLR-A700P)(JE) [Applicable firmware version] Ver.2 Ver.3 * The firmware version is indicated on LCD display of a unit when pressing "MENU" button followed by "DISP" button. The download procedure is stated on the download page. The firmware "Ver.4" is not applicable to this update. [ Additional features / Improvements ] Add the choice of “2 steps/ 3 shots” to auto exposure bracketing (single & continuous) . Add the choice of [Off] to the High ISO NR feature Improvement of the image quality in high ISO setting Improvement of the performance of the auto white balance and the D-Range Optimizer Improvement of reliability for communication between camera body and vertical grip when attaching the vertical grip
