We have started providing the latest firmware Ver.03, which includes the improvements announced on this page, on Dec 15th, 2011.

Sony is offering a firmware upgrade for Interchangeable Lens Digital HD Video Camera Recorder "NEX-VG10".
Please read all the information described below and follow the download procedure carefully to avoid any problems which may occur during the firmware upgrade.

Support for the autofocus function with A-mount lenses. *1 *2 *3

* Firmware upgrade of the Mount Adaptor LA-EA1 (sold separately) is also required.

*1 AF function doesn't work for continuous AF on movie mode and AF-C on still mode but works for AF-S (single AF by Photo key half push).

*2 With an A-mount lens attached, the autofocus speed will be slower than when an E-mount lens is attached. (It takes approximately 2 to 7 seconds (based on Sony's measurement standard). It may vary depending on the subjects or brightness of the shooting environments.)

*3 To prevent Auto Focus noise recorded, Sony recommends to use a stereo microphone (sold separately) with stereo-mini plug (e.g. ECM-CG50).
