When the One Touch Disc Burn is executed, the message [Cannot begin because there is not enough free disk space on the hard disk drive selected for storage of temporary files.] is shown.
Select the [All Programs] - [Sony Picture Utility] - [Handycam Tools] - [One Touch Disc Burn Settings] in this order, check the [Location for temporary files] in the displayed screen. Change the drive to save temporary files, or increase the free space of the drive.

PMB (Picture Motion Browser) does not work properly.
If free codecs or codec packs are installed in the computer, the following symptoms may occur.
  • AVCHD videos cannot be converted to MPEG2 or WMV videos
  • Videos cannot be edited
  • Videos cannot be played back
  • AVCHD discs cannot be played back
  • AVCHD or DVD-Video discs cannot be created
  • Thumbnails for some file formats are displayed as
  • OS automatically shuts down
  • Videos cannot be imported
  • Video analysis fails
  • The Runtime error occurs when launching PMB
These symptoms can be corrected by uninstalling the free codecs or codec packs.

The Expand Videos function is not executed.
Videos need analyzing in advance in order for you to use the Expand Videos function. Select [Tools] - [Analyze All Content] to analyze all videos, or right-click each video and select [Analyze Media Files].

Note

The target video format of the Expand Videos function is the AVCHD 1080i format or MPEG2.

The message [Importing stopped because there is not enough free hard disk space to import the media files.] is shown, and still images and videos cannot be imported.
The drive that is set for the still images and video media files to be imported (default is C:Drive) does not have enough free space. Increase the free space in the drive to import to.

Unknown errors may occur while the videos are edited or the DVD authoring is run.
Due to the memory installed in your computer, unknown errors may occur while video files are edited or the DVD authoring is run.
Take the following steps to increase the virtual memory.

For Windows(R) XP:

  1. Select [My Computer] - [Control Panel] - [System] in this order.
  2. Click the [Advanced] tab, and click [Settings] in the [Performance] frame.
  3. Click the [Advanced] tab, and check the [Total paging file size for all drives:] part in the [Virtual memory] frame.
  4. Click [Change], and enter values in the [Initial size] part.
  5. Click [Set], and click [OK].

For Windows Vista:

  1. Select [Computer] - [Control Panel] - [System and Maintenance] - [System] in this order.
    * For Classic view, select [Computer] - [Control Panel] - [System] in this order.
  2. Click the [Advanced system settings], and click [Settings] in the [Performance] frame.
  3. Click the [Advanced] tab, and check the [Total paging file size for all drives:] part in the [Virtual memory] frame.
  4. Click [Change], enter values in the [Initial size] part.
    Click [Set] and click [OK].
    * Remove the check of [Automatically manage paging file size for all drives].
