You can expand the high end of the flash sync speed to 1/400 second when shooting with the full-frame view angle, and to 1/500 second when shooting with the APS-C view angle.
Since the aperture value can be made smaller by expanding the high end of the flash sync speed, you can use a flash to shoot images in a blurry background. Furthermore, you can capture a moving subject using a fast shutter speed with the flash while reducing camera shake.

(flash) icon will be displayed with the shutter speed setting value as shown below.

When the high end of the flash sync speed range is expanded and if you perform continuous shooting in the
(Continuous Shooting: Hi+) mode or
(Continuous Shooting: Hi) mode by setting the shutter speed to 1/400 second (1/500 second when shooting in the APS-C view angle), the maximum speed of continuous shooting may decrease.
