How to use PlayMemories Studio™

Copy

You can make copies of images saved on a storage device (PlayStation®3 internal HDD, camera, video camera, USB storage device, etc.) and save them to another storage device.

Copy procedure

  • Select source storage.

Select the storage device (PlayStation®3 internal HDD, camera, video camera, USB storage device, etc.) that contains the source storage. Images selected in Timeline view can also be copied via the Sub Menu.

  • Select destination storage.

Select the destination storage device (PlayStation®3 internal HDD, camera, video camera, USB storage device, etc.) for the copy.

You cannot select a write-protected storage device or the same storage device that contains the source storage.

If AVCHD movies are copied to the PlayStation®3 internal HDD, they cannot be accessed from the XMB™(XrossMediaBar).

Changes made to the rotation, date/time taken, and location info settings do not appear in the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar). Changes made to images in PlayMemories Studio™ are applied only in PlayMemories Studio™.

  • Confirm copy details

Confirm the copy details (source storage and copy destination), then press the Enter button if the settings are correct.

Select whether or not to make an additional copy if a duplicate image copy already exists at the copy destination.

  • Copy progress display

Do not remove the storage device or turn off the main power of the PlayStation®3 while copying.

  • Copy completion

The number of copied items is displayed. Check the results of the copy, and then press thebutton to exit.

If there is an error or copying is cancelled, the number of copied items to that point is displayed.

If the copy fails, an error message is displayed. Check the message and take the required action.
