Multi Live View

1 Multi Live View Layout
From the menu bar, select [Window] → [Multi Live View Layout].

- The initial value is “Auto.”
- When the setting is “Auto,” the display changes according to the number of cameras.
1 camera: 1 camera per line
2 to 4 cameras: 2 cameras per line
5 to 9 cameras: 3 cameras per line
10 to 16 cameras: 4 cameras per line
17 to 20 cameras: 5 cameras per line
(In all cases, cameras are displayed aligned from top left.)

2 Live View area
When a camera is selected, a frame appears and the camera’s control display changes.
Double-click to start single view or connect unconnected cameras. -
3 Camera status display

4 Display groups
Selects the group(s) displayed in Multi Live View.
Changes the frame rate in Multi Live View
You can change the frame rate in Multi Live View by placing the downloaded defaultsettings.conf file in the folder shown below.

defaultsettings.conf Example : MultiViewFrameRate=15
The settings take effect when Remote Camera Tool is restarted.

1 Focus operation
This function is used for DMF mode and MF (Manual Focus) mode.
When the focus area is set to Flexible Spot, the focus frame moves to the position where you click on the image.

2 Shooting images
Click the [CAPTURE] button.
If you select [Camera Only] as the save destination (Still Image Save Destination), once the release is complete, “Captured” will be displayed to the upper left of the button, and a green frame will appear around the live view screen. -
3 Zoom operation
- It is enabled when a power zoom lens is attached.
- You can set the zoom speed during shooting standby on the camera. (ILCE-1 only)
On the camera, select MENU →
(Shooting) → [Zoom] → [
Zoom Speed (Remote commander)] → [
Speed Type] → [Fix], then choose a setting under [
Fixed Speed STBY] → [1 (Slow) to 8 (Fast)].

4 Touch operation (ILCE-1 and ILCE-9M2 only)
By clicking on a part of the image, you can operate the camera just like you would operate the touch screen on the camera itself.
To cancel tracking, click [Cancel]. -
5 AF active button (ILCE-1 and ILCE-9M2 only)
Turning on the AF active button when touch operation is turned on allows you to operate the AF function by touching any location in the live view screen.

6 Shutter Speed:Variable Shutter (ILCE-1 and ILCE-9M2 only)
When you select the [Variable Shutter] button, the following dialog box is displayed. Select [On] to adjust the shutter speed.

7 APS-C / Full Frame Switch Button (ILCE-1 only)
You can record at the angle of view of the APS-C by setting this button to APS-C.

8 REC Button
We recommend that you put the camera into still image mode during shooting standby to prevent the temperature of the camera from rising.

9 Func Button
When you click the Func button, the following "Function window" will appear.

1 Dual-slot recording menu (ILCE-1 only)
You can enter separate settings for each slot when connected to a camera.
To use these settings, select MENU →
(Shooting) → [Media] → [Rec. Media Settings] → [Recording Media] → [Sort Recording] on the camera beforehand. -
2 Setting the filename and file No.
To specify your desired filename or file No., change them in these dialog boxes.

3 Specifying the save location
Specify the save location of shot images.
You can set a different location to save for each camera. -
4 Live View Transfer Protocol (ILCE-1 only)
You can change the communication method used by Live View.

5 Formatting the SD card (ILCE-1 and ILCE-9M2 only)
This function is available only when an SD card is inserted in the camera, and when [Still Image Save Destination] is set to [Camera Only] or [PC+Camera].

6 Selecting the FTP server (ILCE-1 and ILCE-9M2 only)
Interval Timer Shooting
Interval shooting is a function for taking repeated shots automatically according to the specified shooting start time, shooting interval, and number of shots.
We recommend that you check the images periodically during interval shooting.
- In the Device Selection Window, select [Tools] → [Interval Timer Shooting].
- Set the shooting start time and shooting conditions.

- Capture start
Start capturing immediately: Add a check mark to start shooting immediately.
Start capturing after the specified delay: Add a check mark to specify the timing of shooting.
Enter a time to start. - Capture interval
Select the groups for which interval shooting will be used and enter the shooting interval for each group in minutes and seconds.
- Capture duration
Continue capturing until you press the Stop button : Select this item to continue capturing images until you click the [Stop] button.
Continue capturing for the specified duration : Select this item to continue interval shooting for a specified duration, and enter the desired duration.
- Capture start
- Click [Start] to begin shooting.
