Compatibility | Radio-Controlled Lighting System

This section provides compatibility information for cameras and flashes when performing wireless radio flash shooting or remote-release shooting.

Commander side
Wireless Radio Commander FA-WRC1M	A list of compatible cameras can be found in <Accessorires Compatibility Information>. Flashes cannot be used on the commander side.
Flash HVL-F60RM2, HVL-F60RM, HVL-F46RM, HVL-F45RM	A list of compatible cameras can be found in <Accessorires Compatibility Information HVL-F60RM2 / HVL-F60RM / HVL-F46RM / HVL-F45RM >. Works not only as a commander but also as a flash. The FA-WRC1M is not needed.
Flash HVL-F28RM	A list of compatible cameras can be found in <Accessorires Compatibility Information>. Works not only as a commander but also as a flash. The FA-WRC1M is not needed. When used in combination with a camera without the [External Flash Set.] feature, the commander unit is not capable of changing the wireless flash photography with power ratio control, group flash, and individual receiver unit settings.
Receiver side

Flash HVL-F60RM2, HVL-F60RM, HVL-F46RM, HVL-F45RM	Works not only as a receiver but also as a flash. The FA-WRR1 is not needed.
Flash HVL-F28RM	Works not only as a receiver but also as a flash. The FA-WRR1 is not needed. The commander unit is not capable of changing the wireless group or zoom settings of receiver units.

*1 Multiple flash is not supported. Cannot use together with the wireless flash function equipped with flash.
*2 Set the power level to 1/16 or above when shooting with manual flash or high speed synchronization (HSS). (For groups including HVL-F32M.)
*3 A separately sold Shoe Adaptor ADP-MAA is necessary to attach to the Wireless Radio Receiver.
*4 TTL flash is not supported.

Combination with wired flash shooting

A wireless radio flash cannot be combined with a wired off-camera flash using the FA-CS1M Off-Camera Shoe and/or the FA-CC1AM Off-Camera Cable.

Receiver side
Wireless Radio Receiver FA-WRR1	A list of compatible cameras can be found in <Accessorires Compatibility Information>. Connect the receiver with the camera using the separately sold VMC-MM1 Multi-Terminal Connecting Cable. Not compatible with the connecting cable for the Remote Terminal supplied with the RM-VPR1, VCT-VPR100, VCT-VPR10, etc.
Flash HVL-F46RM, HVL-F45RM, HVL-F28RM	Works only as a flash and not as a receiver. The FA-WRR1 Wireless Radio Receiver and the VMC-MM1 Multi-Terminal Connecting Cable are required. Attach the flash directly to the camera.
Flash HVL-F60RM2, HVL-F60RM	Works both as a flash and as a receiver. A VMC-MM1 Multi-Terminal Connecting Cable is required.
