PlayMemories Studio™ is compatible with the auto-save function. During the auto-save process, the HDD access indicator lights up. Do not turn off the main power of the PlayStation®3 during this process.
PlayMemories Studio™ data is saved as PlayStation®3 game data.
In the PlayStation®3 XMB™ (XrossMediaBar), select PlayMemories Studio™ DATA in [Game] > [Game Data Utility], press thebutton, and check the size and other information. The amount of game data increases when images are copied to the PlayStation®3 internal HDD, and decreases when data is deleted.
If there is not around 10GB of free space (this depends on the amount of space currently being used by PlayMemories Studio™) on the hard disk designated as the save destination, an error will occur and functions such as copying will become unavailable.
When game data (PlayMemories Studio™ DATA) is deleted, all data created with PlayMemories Studio™ (including AVHCD movies copied to PlayStation®3) is deleted and cannot be recovered. Use the image deletion function in PlayMemories Studio™ to delete unwanted images that were copied using PlayMemories Studio™.
