Adjusting the AF drive speed until a subject is in focus

When shooting movies, you can set the speed for focusing on subjects in the focus area in [moviesAF drive speed].

AF drive speed (movies)

Setting the camera

  1. [Focus Mode]

    MENU → (Camera Settings1) → [Focus Mode] → [AF-C].

  2. [moviesAF drive speed]

    MENU → (Camera Settings2) → [moviesAF drive speed] → desired setting.

When [moviesRecord Setting] is set to [120p]/[100p], [moviesAF drive speed] cannot be used.

[Fast]
Effective for tracking fast-moving subjects. Recommended for sports or other scenes with rapid movement.
[Standard]

Sets the AF drive speed to normal.

[Slow]
Effective for smooth tracking of subjects.
