Guide to using the camera
Touching a position on the monitor focuses there. No focusing frame is displayed then, but focus is locked at that position.
When you touch the subject, the focus mode temporarily switches to [Manual Focus] and the focus can be adjusted using the focusing ring.
Note that touching the monitor does not activate Spot Focus when you select [Zone] and the triangles (up/down/left/right) are displayed on the monitor. To enable Spot Focus, either press the center of the control wheel or start shooting a movie, and then touch a subject on the monitor after the triangles (up/down/left/right) displayed on the monitor disappear.
* To cancel focusing by touch, press the center of the control wheel. In monitor mode, you can also touch the icon in the upper right of the monitor to cancel this function.
Hint
When [Focus Area] is set to [Flexible Spot] or [Expand Flexible Spot], the focusing frame can be moved using touch operations.

Touching a position on the monitor focuses there.
Until the subject is in focus after you touch the monitor, [Focus Mode] will be set to [Continuous AF].
After the subject is in focus, [Focus Mode] will be switched back to [Manual Focus].
When the triangles (up/down/left/right) are displayed on the monitor after [Focus Area] is set to [Zone], [Flexible Spot], or [Expand Flexible Spot], if you press the center of the control wheel or start shooting a movie when the focusing frame position is set, you can set the focus position by touch operation.
