File transfer

Transfers images from a camera to the computer.

  • For a list of camera models that support file transfer, refer to “Supported cameras.”
  • To import images from a camera, the camera must be disconnected from the computer.
  • The files that are transferred are the images stored on the media card in the slot specified by [Select Playback Media] on the camera.
  1. In the Device Selection Window, select a camera with “Disconnected” displayed under Status.

  2. Select [All] or [Select], then click the [File Import] button.
  3. If you selected [All], the application connects to the camera and the number of files to be transferred is displayed.

    If you selected [Select], follow the prompts in the dialog box to select the file type and the images to be transferred.

    • No thumbnails are displayed for HEIF files. Also, no thumbnails are displayed for RAW files shot using the RAW + HEIF setting.
  4. Select the folder in which to store the transferred files and click [OK] to start transferring the images.
