Shooting with touch operations (Shooting still images)
The camera automatically focuses on the point you touch and shoots a still image.*
* This function cannot be used when you are using the viewfinder for shooting.
Touch Shutter
Setting the camera
Set the Still/Movie/S&Q dial to (Still) to select still image shooting mode.

[Focus Mode]
MENU → (Focus) → [AF/MF] → [Focus Mode] → the desired setting from the [Single-shot AF], [Automatic AF], [Continuous AF], or [DMF].

[ Focus Area]
MENU → (Focus) → [Focus Area] → [Focus Area] → the desired setting from the [Wide], [Zone], [Center Fix], [Tracking: Wide], [Tracking: Zone], or [Tracking: Center Fix].

[Touch Operation]
MENU → (Setup) → [Touch Operation] → [Touch Operation] → [On].

[Touch Panel/Pad]
MENU → (Setup) → [Touch Operation] → [Touch Panel/Pad] → [Both Valid] or [Touch Panel Only]

[Touch Func. in Shooting]
MENU → (Setup) → [Touch Operation] → [Touch Func. in Shooting] → [Touch Shutter]
Hint
You can change the setting for [Touch Func. in Shooting] by touching///(touch function icon) on the shooting screen.

Shooting with touch operations
Touch the subject you want to focus on while the (touch shutter) icon is displayed in the top right of the monitor.
The camera focuses on the subject you touched, and a still image is recorded.
Shooting burst images using the touch shutter
When [Drive Mode] is set to [Cont. Shooting], you can record burst images while touching the screen.
